'cols' Syntax and Note

Note:
    
It specifies the maximum number of characters that can fit on a single 
line of a <pre> or <textarea> element.

In the <textarea> element, the width of the element will be set to the 
number of cols specified.
    
Syntax:
    
<element cols="value"> . . . </element>
