About sensor

The Sensor module allows you to import different type of sensor files and group them under one or several sensor projects.

Creating a sensor project

To work with sensor files you will need a sensor project. To create a project you must click the new project new_project icon. When clicked a wizard appears. In the first screen of the wizard you will need to select the project type. Since you want to create a sensor project choose the Sensor category. In the list of projects the Sensor project appears. Now click next so the next step of the wizard will open. The second step of the wizard will ask you to specify the project name and the location where the project should be saved. When your satisfied with your name and location click finish. A project will be created and the projects screen will open displaying your newly created sensor project.

Adding sensor files to a sensor project

When you have created a sensor project you have the option to add files too it. This is done by selecting the desired sensor project then right clicking the mouse and selecting 'Import sensor files' in the pop up menu.
Import_sensor_files

when clicked a file picker will appear. This file picker allows you to choose the sensor files you want to import. You can either select one file or you can select a whole directory of sensor files. When satisfied with your selection click 'choose'. The files will now be copied to your project directory.

Notice:
Different sensors have different file types. Even sensors from the same manufacturer can produce several different file types. Not all file types are supported in the base version of AgroSense. If after importing your files, the system does not appear to recognize your files, this is probably due to the fact that supporting module for your files is not installed. You can check this in the plugins section under tools.
