View in separate window

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>

<video controls onseeking="myFunction()">
  <source src="video.mp4" type="video/mp4">
  <source src="video.ogg" type="video/ogg">

</video>//from   w  w  w  .java  2s  .c  o m

<p id="demo"></p>
<script>
function myFunction() {
  document.getElementById("demo").innerHTML = "Seek operation began!";
}
</script>

</body>
</html>

The onseeking event occurs when the user starts moving to a new position in the audio/video.

The onseeking event is the opposite of the onseeked event.

Use the currentTime property of the Audio/Video Object to get the current playback position.
