Turn Off AutoFit : AutoFit « Editing Format « Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 Tutorial

Click the Office button, and then click PowerPoint Options.

Click Proofing, and then click AutoCorrect Options.

Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.
       Clear the AutoFit Title Text To Placeholder and AutoFit Body Text To Placeholder check boxes.
